The mission of the Ashanti Pageant is to educate and empower African-American young ladies. 

 

The pageant will be held at The 8th Annual Charlotte

African-American Festival at 11:00 am on August 7, 2021 at Spirit Square in Charlotte, NC

The pageant will be a royal affair for reigning queens, families and friends. 

 

Age Categories And Crowns

           Queen Makeda (Young Teen Ages 13-14)  

           Queen Nandi (Jr. Teen 15-16)

           Queen Amina (Teen 17-18) 

 

The entry fee is $100 per contestant. 

Entry assistance is available for contestants upon request

The deadline for entry is July 30, 2021

Prizes

 

All contestants must be meet competition deadlines.

All contestants must attend the 2021 Charlotte African-American Festival on August 7, 2021 at 9:00 am for the competition and crowning ceremony. The winners will take their place on the festival's royal throne for the day. The winners will receive a one year reign, a crown, a sash, cash, gifts and prizes plus a donation to their favorite charity. The winners will receive a photo and video session and a branding package for Crowns Magazine. All contestants will receive gifts and a certificate of participation.  All contestants will be given access to the photo and video pageant library for their portfolios.

All contestants with qualifying images will be featured in the August 2021 issue of Crowns Magazine.
