TC Family, I hope you know how much I love you. In this time of distress, I find myself constantly thinking and praying for you. We are living in a unique time in history. It is such a time as this, that our Lord has called us to reach into his limitless courage, peace, and love.
As you will see, we are taking action to love and serve those in need. When this time of crisis is over, our community will have seen Jesus, because WE WILL BE HIS HANDS and FEET.
During this time of social distancing we know our own Transformers are going to have care, financial, and physical needs. We want you to know we’re here. How we care may look differently right now, but our desire remains the same, to walk along together as the family of God. If you have needs, or know of someone in need, please contact us via Care@TransformationChurch.tc
We also have an amazing opportunity through our Backpack Meals program. In partnership with Lancaster County Schools and HOPE in Lancaster food pantry, we will be supplying food for Indian Land families who have been affected by school closings. We will be helping provide meals for approximately 325 families in need throughout Lancaster County. Like you, Vicki and I are watching the economy and stock market crash.
Like you, we're paying for college, financially supporting struggling family members, and paying for car repairs. And like you, our faith in Jesus will not crash because our faith was never in the economy or stock market. Therefore, like you, Vicki and I will continue to give generously to Transformation Church so His Kingdom will come to earth through us. If you are not giving online, this is a great time to start. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart — not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make every grace overflow to you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 CSB
Finally, to encourage your faith, I want to give you chapter 5 of my new book, The Good Life: What Jesus Teaches About Finding True Happiness. In chapter 5, I write about how the early church responded to plagues and pandemics in the Roman world. This chapter will help you become peace in the midst of chaos, courage in the midst of fear, love and generosity in the midst hoarding. Go to thegoodlifebook.net and get your free chapter. Share this resource with all your family and friends. With love, Pastor Derwin and Vicki Gray
