Models Needed for The 2020 Out of Africa Fashion Show
Models ages 10 and up are invited to participate in the Out of Africa Fashion Show at 3:00 pm on April 6, 2019, at the 7th Annual Charlotte African-American Festival. The festival will be held at Spirit Square in downtown Charlotte from 10:00 am-10:00 pm and is free to the public. Models will provide African attire unless otherwise notified in writing from the show director. Models may be showcased in both the casual and formal scenes. Models must arrive at 1:30pm for the show. Models will be responsible for all personal items at the show. This is an opportunity for inspiring models to enhance their portfolio. Pictures and videos will be made available to all models. Print opportunities are available.
Actors Needed for The 2020 Black History Walk of Fame
African-American talents are needed for the Black History Walk of Fame. Talents will present live impersonations of famous African-Americans. Dialogue and wardrobe is provided by the talents. Videos and photos will be given to the talents for portfolios. Talents may choose their time to attend the festival. About the Festival The 7th Annual Charlotte African American Festival (CAAF) is a celebration of the rich heritage and accomplishments of African Americans. The festival will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm at Blumenthal's Spirit Square which is located at 345 North College Street in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina.
The festival will include exhibits, musical performances, art, literature, food, dancers, drummers, a pageant, speakers, vendors, and special awards and recognition. Special attractions will include a journey through the Underground Railroad with a Harriet Tubman impersonator, The Ashanti Pageant, and The Black History Walk of Fame which features impersonations of famous African-Americans. Proceeds raised by The 7th Annual Charlotte’s African - American Festival will support media and broadcasting programs.
